This is the selection box. All songs selected in the various browsers end up here.
Selection box mouse commands
By clicking the right mouse button in the selection window you will be shown a list of commands.
Unselect
Removes the highlighted songs from the playlist.
Fields
This is a list of the fields that should be shown in the selection box.
Icon
If checked, the icon of the browser a selected song belongs to will be shown in the selection box.
Database
If checked, the name of the browser a selected song belongs to will be shown in the selection box.
Artist
If checked, the name of the author/artist/group of the selected song will be shown in the selection box.
Album
If checked, the name of the album the song belongs to will be shown in the selection box.
Song
If checked, the name of the selected song will be shown in the selection box.
Bitrate
If checked, the bitrate of the selected song will be shown in the selection box. This however, demands that the stat files and perhaps stat networked files is checked in the configuration menu.
Frequency
If checked, the frequency of the selected song will be shown in the selection box. This however, demands that the stat files and perhaps stat networked files is checked in the configuration menu.
Length
If checked, the length of the selected song will be shown in the selection box. This however, demands that the stat files and perhaps stat networked files is checked in the configuration menu.
Comment
If checked, all possible comments belonging to songs will be shown in the selection box.
Cell
These command determines how the various fields are shown in the selection box.
Fixed size
If this option is set, it tells the Jukebox that although if the selection box is resized, this field should remain the same size.
Resize automatically
If this option is set, it tells the selection box that when resized, this field should be resized automatically.
Fit to window
If your fields are larger or smaller than the size of your selection box, this command tells the Jukebox that the current field should be resized so all fields are completely visible within the box.
Fit to window
This command resizes the fields so that they fit within the selection box.
Restat files
This command goes through all selected songs and forces them to read all information regarding bitrate, frequency and length again.
Edit Mixer
This item allows you to give a selected song specific mixer settings. These settings will be used when the song is played.
Global mixer
If checked, the global mixer is used when playing this song.Otherwise, the global mixer will be set to the local mixer settings when this song is played.
Statusbar
This item shows the number of selected songs and the total time of all selected songs. If any song is impossible to stat, or if the required options in the configuration menu are turned off, this will show "--:--".
Fieldbar
This is the narrow bar running horizontally above the selection box. It shows the start and end of the currently active fields. You may drag the size of these fields by clicking the left button of the mouse on one of the delimitors and drag to the desired size. You may also sort the selected songs by field by simply clicking on the field. By holding down the control button you may sort by several fields. It will then first sort by the first selected field, then if the first sort gave an equal result, it will use the subsequently selected fields to determine sort order.
Drag'n'drop
You may select and drag songs to any place in the selection list.
Keyboard shortcuts
The following keyboard shortcuts are defined:
- DEL removes a selected song from the playlist.
- Enter plays the currently highlighted song.
- ctrl-s locates and highlights the first song that the Jukebox was not able to stat.
- ctrl-shift-s locates and highlights all songs that the Jukebox was not able to stat.
