The Sajber Jukebox saga begun one day when a good friend of mine decided to buy a soundcard, a few gigs of harddisk and a new computer to listen to mp3s. He swiftly collected a few thousand songs spread over a few hundred directories. There was only one problem. It was really hard finding the songs you wanted and getting a comprehensive listing of what was available. So, when another close friend of mine told me there was a new gui toolkit available for free for linux, I decided to write myself a small program to recursively collect all songs, and then play them with repeat and random.
Giving the program to my friends was my big mistake. They were never satisfied, and they just had to have that feature that I hadn't implemented yet ;) Well, that's how it started. The end of the saga is yet to be written.
